    Job Summary
    Responsible for Admission, Discharge and Transfer (ADT) education, training and testing for the network. Through training ensures quality revenue cycle results. Identifies training needs and prepares training material and other tools to support educational objectives and development initiatives. Conducts computer-based training and orientation of staff in an efficient and economical manner. Coordinates resources for training, such as participants, trainers, training rooms and equipment. Collaborates with supervisors in maintaining training schedule, including new hire training and refresher training. Assures that training is department-focused and based on needs identified by end-users throughout the system. Retrieves and analyzes QA data to identify error patterns and create intervention through feedback and training in collaboration with Admitting Services leadership. Monitors new hire progress with QA tools and observation. Assists Admitting Services management on special projects, goals and initiatives. Works with vendors to create system edits as needed. Performs website administrator duties for the network.
    • Provides new hire training. Ensures training is standardized as appropriate and specialized to specific Admitting Services areas as required. Assesses newly hired staff competencies and proficiency testing for systems utilized by Admitting Services areas. Ensures the maintenance of records, checklists and other documentation of training activities.
    • Performs website administrator duties for the network including Patient Financial Services. Sets up payer access for employees on those sites that require administrators to create logons for new employees. They also reset passwords as necessary. Ensures that all new hires have payer website access set up within first week of employment.
    • Contributes to the development of materials for current and new EMR functionality. Acts in the role of a credentialed trainer (where required), subject matter expert (super user) for ADT systems. Provides ongoing refresher training and specific topic training as required. Serves as liaison for Admitting Services training with other departments when training issues are identified. Collaborates with Admitting Services management for specialized focused refreshers.
    • Keeps management informed of all unique situations. Assumes responsibility for their roles in achieving/maintaining financial health of the organization by utilizing updated resources effectively and efficiently; recommends charges and participates in process improvement activities. Recommends new processes and enhancements to existing processes to ensure registration and admitting processes are completed and expectations are met or exceeded. Contributes to continual improvement of processes.
    • Performs Lead operations as necessary. Acts in the Intake Counselor role as necessary, including, but not limited to ability to calculate package rates for self-pay accounts and patient responsibility on insurance accounts. Handles registrations and other system required tasks to stay current on system requirements.
