The AUDIO-VISUAL TECHNICIAN is responsible for the set up of the meeting rooms and audiovisual equipment for all scheduled functions. Analyzes and solves computer hardware, software and application problems. Assists users with initial trouble-shooting procedures and provides instruction to new users. Responds promptly, professionally and efficiently, providing customer service-focused assistance. Independently performs a wide variety of setup tasks specific to the conference center. Performs specialized cleaning of rooms. Transports heavy equipment and furniture between storage and the conference rooms. Performs a wide variety of clerical and administrative functions for the Service Center. Must be able to handle multiple priorities and tasks, utilize effective verbal and written communication skills in highly emotional situations, work with minimal supervision, be self motivated, flexible, versatile and professional

Basic Education: HS Diploma or GED.

Basic Experience: 1 yr related.

Required Course/Licensure/Certs: New hires/transfers-Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) card required within 90 days from date of hire or entry into position. Current incumbents-Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) card required within 90 days of date this certification became minimum requirement (Oct 31, 2010).
