    High School Diploma or GED Required

    2 years in the AV industry, conference services or similar with customer service or public contact Required
    Other Working knowledge of windows, word, excel, power point. Working knowledge of Housekeeping, in a general setting; demonstrated proficiency with AV equipment. Required

    Job Summary
    The AUDIO-VISUAL TECHNICIAN is responsible for the set up of the meeting rooms and audiovisual equipment for all scheduled functions. Analyzes and solves computer hardware, software and application problems. Assists users with initial trouble-shooting procedures and provides instruction to new users. Responds promptly, professionally and efficiently, providing customer service-focused assistance. Independently performs a wide variety of setup tasks specific to the conference center. Performs specialized cleaning of rooms. Transports heavy equipment and furniture between storage and the conference rooms. Performs a wide variety of clerical and administrative functions for the Service Center. Must be able to handle multiple priorities and tasks, utilize effective verbal and written communication skills in highly emotional situations, work with minimal supervision, be self motivated, flexible, versatile and professional.
    • Sets up meeting rooms and audiovisual equipment for all scheduled functions. Cleans room at the end of scheduled meetings and secures meeting area.
    • Executes check out and check in of all audiovisual equipment. Ensures that the equipment is in working order and that all components are returned i.e. cables, remotes and cases. Sets up and tests laptop, LCD projector, document camera, portable audiovisual equipment and sound system ensuring that each piece of equipment is operating correctly.
    • Analyzes and solves computer hardware, software and application problems such as improper installation configuration and/or user error
    • Performs duties of Conference Center greeter. Ensures that the needs of the customer are met in terms of room setup, audiovisual setup and space.
    • Resolves problems and service disruptions with a high standard of customer service. Follow up on complaints to ensure effectiveness of corrective actions.
    • Performs light housekeeping for the conference center rooms. Includes wiping tables and counters, emptying trash and vacuuming.
    • Acts as contact for routine and preventative maintenance. Follows up to ensure completion.
    • Acts as contact for vendor and staff check-in and check out of equipment.
    • Sets up catering beverage only catering events.
    • Cross trains to Service Center or as assigned. Completes and processes data input for ISIS Pro. Maintains excess equipment database, processes invoices for Food Service, enters data in to Angel Link software.
