HonorHealth is looking for a Cardiac Device Tech to work in the Cardiac Arrythmia office in Osborn located at E. Osborn Rd & N. Drink Water Blvd. This position will support both in office and remote device checks for cardiac arrythmia problem/disease patients. There are 21 staff members that support the patients seen in this office that uses a team approach but at the same time members work independently and are self-motivated. Highlights of the department include flexible schedules, good working environment, compassionate staff, supportive and well trained. The ideal candidate must have a HSD or GED, current BLS as well as being a trained medical assistant (CMA, RA or MA) or a Monitor tech. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday; 8a to 5p with limited travel to Prescott Valley twice per month.

Licenses and Certifications
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
OR completion of a Medical Assistant
program that meets the BOMEX training
guidelines OR completion of a United
States Armed Forces medical services
training program OR meet necessary
guidelines as described in Arizona Board of

Title 4, Chapter 16, Article 4, Section R4-

Basic Life Support (BLS) Current and valid certification Required
Demonstrates competency necessary to provide comprehensive cardio diagnostic testing services, which may include all duties of the EKG technician/specialist. Is responsible for the recognition of abnormal results of all tests performed. Has knowledge and experience in cardio diagnostic testing. Serves as a resource to other departments, and the supervisor. Performs Holter monitor scanning and peripheral vascular testing. The staff member provides comprehensive care based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit. Provision of care is given as described in the HonorHealth Patient Care Policies and service or unit-specific Department Operating Policies. Remote monitoring of Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED), with interpretation of ECG, measured data, arrhythmia burden, diagnostics, and Intracardiac Electrograms (IEGM), Life vest monitoring reporting to an EP Provider. Will be responsible for managing patient's data in manufacturer remote monitoring websites, analysis and management of transmission, entering in the electronic medical record (EMR), maintain the data integrity with the system, and having the judgment to direct to the EP Providers, when appropriate. Support for CIED management will be done under the direction of a Device RN Manager or Provider & the Practice Manager.
- Documents pertinent information regarding clinical and monitoring results clearly and accurately in the patient medical
record. Monitors and supports home telemetry systems of five manufacturers for cardiac patients with
cardiac implantable electronic devices.
- Monitors alerts daily, and using clinical judgement, assesses risk, determines proper notification
and follow-up based on established criteria.
- Knowledgeable in CIED function, inclusive to St. Jude, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Sorin, and
Biotronik. Reports to Device Nurse Manager, or the EP Provider when the interpretation is out of
the scope of expertise.
- Evaluates incoming evaluations. Enters transmission data in EMR, enters appropriate charges,
and creates reports for EP Provider review.
- Travel to satellite clinics is required.
- Coordinates and prioritizes with other members of the healthcare team, the cardio staff, and director, and to respond
to, plan, and initiate timely and efficient care in all areas of the hospital that may require cardio diagnostic services.
