    M.D. or D.O Medical license to practice in the State of Arizona and Board Certified
    Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Arizona
    Required

    Experience
    Two (2) years of clinical leadership experience in the practice of medicine Required

    Responsibilities

    Job Summary
    Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO) will lead the organization's population health informatics functions through the transition towards population health improvement, driving greater accessibility, growth, and affordability in healthcare delivery and prevention. In addition, the CMIO will provides leadership within the organization and network regarding population health informatics strategy to drive business, patient, and community outcomes, expertise in value-based analytics merging claims and clinical data to manage financial and clinical risk and identifies technology strategy, investments, and platforms needed to support population health informatics centric goals.
    • Provides strategic direction, knowledge, and skillsets focused on a multidisciplinary population health informatics model, clinical specialties, evidence-based practices, quality outcomes, and clinical decision support. Defines and develops population health analytics and informatics value based care (VBC) strategies that align with organizational strategic priorities and function in a heterogeneous IT landscape across multiple disparate systems. Advances the maturity model of the company’s analytics program towards more accurate and predictive models.
    • Implements analytics and informatics programs that assist in the identification and risk stratification of high-risk populations with the goal of improving quality and outcomes, while reducing costs. Oversees reporting for population health metrics, in collaboration with the organization’s Analytics team and leadership, to ensure accurate measurement of health outcomes, quality, and costs.
    • Works with Analytics and IT teams to develop dashboards and other analytic tools while continuously re-evaluating programs, reporting tools, and workflows.
    • Remains up to date with the current healthcare landscape - data science, analytics, quality, regulatory, and value based care. Develops associated programs and requirements to address the healthcare informatics needs on both a local and national level.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
