    Broad understanding of the operation of all parts of the current health system and healthcare delivery.
    Command of the tools that will be employed, their capabilities, limitations and how to maximize their value:
    o Information Technology and technology developments

    Responsibilities

    Job Summary
    The Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) reports to the Chief Physician Executive (CPE) and is a collaborator and driver with the CPE on matters of strategic growth and market position by leading and optimizing network performance in the areas of information technology, data analytics, marketing, consumerism, and IT related business development. The CTO works closely with the senior leadership team across the care continuum, providing strategic direction and adoption of analytics and digital strategies to transform and improve consumer and caregiver experiences through technology enablement and network clinical and financial performance. This executive leads the organization in collecting and assessing information (integrating business analytics and clinical analytics) in order to grow market share and revenue. Identification of opportunities for service line development, care redesign and consumer connection will be components of this role. This role also supervises an Enterprise Project Management Officer (EPMO). The CTO will ensure that these activities will be in concert with the broader HonorHealth mission, vision and goals.

    The CPE acts as the strategic leader across the health system on key strategic initiatives, and coordinates the CTO's resources with other strategy officer leaders with the goal being to transform the health system to a future state that achieves the strategic vision of providing the highest value care to our community.

    It is expected that the nature of the CTO's work will include but not be limited to:

    •Develop and lead IT, Digital, and Analytics Strategy
    •Work with operational leaders to redesign of processes, workflows and business operations
    •Building a culture of change readiness
    •Collaborating to develop organizational structures, (governance and committee structures) to deliver effective:

    oImplementation to impact tracking

    It will be important that the CTO:

    •Establish personal and professional credibility, gain respect and build confidence within and outside of the organization. Be viewed as highly engaged, effective and visible and seen as a key member of the HonorHealth leadership team.
    •Identify and advance areas for collaboration and partnerships with health systems, providers and others within healthcare.
    •Supports strong matrix relationship between internal business development team and senior leadership.
    •Keep the organization informed and positioned for the future direction of healthcare, including the competitor landscape, policy movement, and notable industry activity.
    •Network and identify champions in the industry in the form of CIO's, CMIO's and other decision makers and how HonorHealth may transform healthcare.
    •Carry out the mission and values of HonorHealth.
    •Identification and prioritization of key strategic initiatives for the organization aligned with HonorHealth's vision.
    •Will be balancing an equal effort of internal and external facing and use of resources.
    • The key focus of the position is transformation to consumer and caregiver experiences enabled and impacted by IT, BI, AI and other resources. Specifically, this senior executive:
      Guides the planning, execution, communication and monitoring of HonorHealth’s IT, Digital and Consumer Strategies.
      Drives market positioning and differentiation through IT, BI, AI and Marketing resources.
      Provides leadership for the assessment, development, acquisition and alignment of related business relationships supporting the above.
      Leads the EPMO that manages project management and resources
      Leads a shift around the consumerism of health data.
      Engages with HIMSS, CHIME, AMIA, AMDIS and other national events in healthcare.
      Serves as one of the primary strategic interfaces and liaisons between HonorHealth, healthcare community leaders and other stakeholders involved in the transformation of the healthcare delivery system.
      Potential ad hoc activities might include:
      Leading the creation of an Innovation Council comprised of thought leaders and senior leaders in innovation as well as clinical and operational leaders who can define the priorities and "pain points" for system and care improvement.
      Scouting the innovation horizon (healthcare and especially non-healthcare industries) and standardizing market research methods for novel ideas and insights; strategic innovation; promoting open innovation; and introducing group tools and processes that encourage creative thinking and "rapid-prototyping".
      Identifying new market spaces.
      Designing shelters for promising projects. Develop the resource allocation processes (portfolio, stage-gate, capex, budgeting) to take potentially disruptive innovations forward from the pilot (seed) stage to the operational stage (and/or market dissemination) without getting torpedoed on the way, by managers who are invested in the status quo.
      Forming innovative partnership with vendors in the IT, digital, AI, and analytics realms that will accelerate HonorHealth’ s goal of being a consumer focused, high value, integrated delivery network.
