    High School Diploma or GED Required

    5 years tech experience Required

    Licenses and Certifications
    Other Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) or equivalent. Required


    Job Summary
    This position provides first line supervision of the staff in the performance of their assigned duties. Ensures that supplies and equipment are delivered to the Patient Care areas as needed. Leads them in preparing, sterilization, and delivery of instrument trays to surgical suites, in an efficient and timely manner. Monitors tray assembly for accuracy of completion.
    • Supervises personnel assigned to the section. Plans, establishes, and revises work assignments and schedules. Interviews, selects, and hires personnel. Completes changes in classification, salary action, promotion, demotion, transfer, and termination. Administers performance evaluation in collaboration with the Manager. Administers staff disciplinary process through termination. Verifies staff clinical competency and certifications. Reviews and approves time and attendance records.
    • Monitors tray accuracy, timeliness and delivery to surgical areas.
    • Participates actively in the maintenance of the annual operation departmental budget. Provides input for departmental capital equipment considerations.
    • Serves as the CSPD resource for the system
      Performs other duties as assigned.
