The Development Associate works collaboratively and under the direction of management staff to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors and potential donors. The incumbent follows a structured curricula of mentoring, reading, attending courses and completing assignments under the direction of the Vice President for Major Gifts and Annual Giving. The Development Associate is an integral part of achieving successful fund raising through specific campaigns, grants or from individual donors. The incumbent assists with planning the Foundation's fund raising activities with the goal of identifying and developing potential donors and continually cultivating existing donors. The Development Associate is responsible for a specific fund raising goal as well as other related goals.
The Development Associate is self-motivated, self-directed and a highly organized person who promotes a productive, collegial workplace and is a professional ambassador of the organization's Foundation. The incumbent possesses a strong belief in the mission of the organization In addition, the incumbent knows and follows all Foundation policies, procedures and checklists to ensure consistent quality and branding integrity is maintained.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree.
EXPERIENCE: 3 years fund raising, campaign and/or donor development (experience must be in nonprofit).
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Valid Arizona Driver's License
