    Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing. Required

    5 years experience as a direct care RN. Required
    5 years experience in nursing management and/or administration. Required

    Licenses and Certifications
    Registered Nurse (RN) State And/Or Compact State Licensure
    Certification in nursing administration within 1 year of hire or promotion date Required


    Job Summary
    The Director of Network Operations is responsible for the oversight and network alignment of day-to-day staffing, resource management, and bed control across all HonorHealth hospitals and ambulatory centers. The Network Director oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies to achieve operational effectiveness of nursing manpower deployment and productivity. Maintains responsibility for the alignment and oversight of bed placement functions and for working with leaders to develop efficiencies and collaboration.

    Works collaboratively with the Vice President/Chief Nursing Officers at each facility, assures delivery of evidence-based nursing care by creating an environment conducive to an integrated system wide process with a focus on quality, efficiency, and the patient experience. Provides leadership and coordination within their areas of responsibility which includes system collaboration, standardization, and operational processes to align nursing excellence and the delivery of high quality patient family centered care. Aligns system operational processes in collaboration with the Nursing Executive Council and operational leadership at each entity.
    • Develops, and is accountable for, operational and annual capital budgets for assigned areas of responsibility.
    • Working collaboratively with the COO's/CNO's and Unit Directors to define staffing structure and processes to meet productivity benchmarks
    • Enhances staffing support with technology designed to improve staffing and bed control efforts. Uses high quality outcome measures to drive operational success. Deploys tools that measure productivity and utilization of resources with other Directors and Supervisors. Coordinates efforts to distribute reports and data that improve performance.
    • Oversees the coordination of purchased labor contracts and payments to registries and traveler agencies.
    • Analyzes utilization patterns and satisfaction results related to flexible staffing. Provides direction for the appropriate growth and utilization of resources.
    • Works with leadership within nursing and Human Resources to establish evidence-based approaches to high-quality patient care delivery within established productivity standards. Builds nursing resources available through supplemental staffing approaches for all areas of clinical care and services.
    • Fosters collaborative partnerships with other department managers, medical staff, members of the organization, and the community. Uses evidence-based knowledge in decision-making to improve and maintain high quality cost-effective patient/family centered care.
    • Promotes an environment that supports clinical excellence by leading and directing the implementation of the nursing leadership model and collaborative practice delivery system that commits to high quality clinical care and services.
    • Develops, and is accountable for, the operation of the Network patient placement functions. Enhances this operation with technology and alignment of strategies to maintain a centralized model.
    • Directs, manages, and evaluates personnel assigned to these departments and assures competency of staff. Sets direction and provides oversight for recruitment and retention strategies. Selects and hires staff based on staffing plans and personnel needs. Promotes a Magnet culture of autonomy, accountability, and outcome focused care.
