HonorHealth is looking for an experienced Echo Tech II to work at our Deer Valley location located at N. 27th Avenue & W. Beardsley Road. There are areas of service that includes 62 employees - NUC techs, CVT Techs, Medical Assistants, Surgery Schedulers and Registrations Schedulers. This is a fast-paced environment with an upbeat team who thrives on a team concept. The services provided by the team centers around imaging for cardiac patients. The ideal candidate should have a minimum experience of 1 year as an Echo Tech and available to work the hours of Monday - Friday from 8a to 5p.

Other Completion of CAAHEP accredited School of Ultrasound Technology, or Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent education, Completion of CAAHEP accredited School of Ultrasound Technology, or Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent education Required

Licenses and Certifications
Registered in 2 or more modalities through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification in Cardiac and/or Vascular ultrasound Required
Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Echo Tech II performs high quality cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound procedures that require ingenuity, initiative and independent judgment. Additionally performs all ultrasound techniques and examination in another credentialed modality according to the site staffed. Provides excellent customer service adhering to established safety standards. Performs a variety of tasks providing technical expertise to maintain, enhance, and advance departmental standards. Assists in quality control and quality assurance. Follows the guidelines of the laboratory to adhere to accreditation standards. Maintains confidentiality in all related activities. Attends required meetings and maintains continuing education. Cultivates a collaborative and cooperative work environment within the organization to exceed patient expectations.
May perform advanced cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound services such as physiologic arterial testing, congenital, myocardial mechanics, 3D imaging, and stress. Acts as a preceptor by on-boarding Cardiovascular Sonographers with departmental orientation and use of equipment in a clinical setting. May instruct other sonographers in the performance of cardiovascular procedures.
- Performs all cardiac and/or vascular, and/or pediatric/neonate/fetal procedures depending on second credential.
- Documents pertinent information in appropriate electronic reporting systems to include but not limited to reporting and charging of the procedure.
- Maintains laboratory accreditation by adhering to department protocols and participating in all required accreditation activities. Participates in Quality assurance and Quality control activities.
- Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills to enhance customer service and teamwork.
- Coordinates scheduling of patients and maintains appropriate communication with other personnel.
- Participates in other work activities as assigned to include but not limited to education, teaching, training, accreditation and research studies.
