    Qualifications

    Education
    Associate's Degree From an accredited NLN program or ARRT State Licensure Required

    Experience
    2 years In EP Lab Required

    Licenses and Certifications
    ACLS/BLS Training Course C Required
    Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)within 1 year of promotion or hire Required

    Responsibilities

    Job Summary
    The Electrophysiology Specialist is responsible and accountable for individuals and/or a group of patients for a designated time frame; provides care to those patients through clinical care plan processes. This includes ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment of patients in a safe and timely manner as ordered by the physician. Utilizing advanced clinical skills, the technologist will assist the Electrophysiology (EP) physician in the performance of diagnostic EP, mapping and ablation procedures. Performs duties of Cath Radiological Technologist or Cath Lab nurse as required.
    • Independently demonstrates the ability to utilize evidence-based clinical knowledge to assist the EP physician with the diagnoses and treatment plan of the electrophysiology patient through the set up and operation of the diagnostic and treatment devices in the electrophysiology suite.
    • Works in collaboration with the medical staff and department leadership to recommend and maintain the supply chain of products in the EP suite.
    • Works in collaboration with the medical staff and department leadership to train and monitor the performance of all personnel working in the EP suite.
    • Remains current with the organization's regulatory standards and CMS regulations.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
