The Retail Operations Assistant assists in the daily retail operation of an HonorHealth Medical Center Gift Shop. Responsibilities include assisting the Supervisor- Retail Operations with: pricing, displaying and selling quality merchandise at reasonable prices for the convenience of patients, visitors and employees and accurate fiscal accounting, cashiering / money handling practices, and providing guest service .
- Assists Supervisor - Retail Operations in daily operation of the gift shop.
•Price and display appropriate merchandise.
•Maintain adequate inventory to drive sales and guest satisfaction.
•Assist to maintain accurate financial records.
•Assist to build positive relationships with vendors.
•Assist with guest service, cashiering, and money handling for the shop.
- Work closely with Supervisor and Manager of Retail Operations in assisting shops and volunteers.
•Support the shop in absence of Supervisor.
•Assist in staffing and training of volunteers as directed
- Maintain close communications with Retail Operations Manager and the Director of Volunteer Services regarding the gift shops and planned special projects.
•Assist in maintaining accurate monthly and annual reports.
•Consistent attendance at staff meetings will be maintained.
•Intra-departmental teamwork will be a priority
- Assist with financial accountabilities for all aspects of the retail operation.
•Will work with Manager of Retail Operations on these accountabilities.
