    Job Summary
    The Grant and Accounting Coordinator is responsible for the application, oversight, monitoring, and implementation of awards deriving from corporate, private and government grant funders with an emphasis on healthcare. Major duties and responsibilities of the Grants and Accounting Coordinator include but are not limited to: Supports pre-award grants team and coordinates the post-award administration of various grants. Maintains specialized database and system for recording and tracking grant awards and related statistical information and also provides general accounting and clerical assistance to the grants and finance teams.

    • Coordinates and assists with the financial management of grants (e.g. funding, expenditures, budget adjustments, spending down etc.) for the purpose of complying with all program and guidelines of awarding organizations. Coordinates post award grant processes (e.g. evaluations, budget, finance, reports, retention of records, etc.) and prepares budget reports for funds, account reconciliations, identifies and resolves discrepancies.
    • Coordinates with pre-award grants team to support grant application and reporting processes by preparing related documents (e.g. budgets, financial reports, specific inquiries, financial information, and other peripheral-materials) required by funders. For grant applications that require detailed program budgets, this position follows up and works with department budget reps to get the required itemized program budget, budget request, or financial report detail.
    • Monitors budget expenditures, grant spend down, progression of grants with respect to invoicing milestones. Prepares invoices per award agreement and track payment status. Troubleshoot problems as necessary and work to resolve payment delays. Prepares activities details month’s file, making sure all invoices are billed accordingly and accurately. Coordinates progress reports and prepares financial reports for the agencies as assigned.
    • Assists with overall grant administration including all reporting and auditing requirements for Federal grants. Monitors and coordinates the administration of post-award grants to ensure that budgeting and agency requirements are being followed. Advise on and ensure compliance with Foundation and HonorHealth policies, procedures, and applicable legal rules and regulations
    • Gathers and prepares financial data for the Foundation and HonorHealth for requests received from the senior staff. Performs other related grant and finance duties, ad hoc reporting for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective administrative activities in the area of grants and finance. Back up to critical tasks and member of the Support Team of the Foundation.
