    Bachelor's Degree Required

    Experience
    5 years Experience as an Acute Care Dietitian Required

    Licenses and Certifications
    Must be registry eligible under CDR (Commission for Dietetic Registration) Required
    must obtain Registered Dietitian (RD) status within 6 months from date of hire. Or Is a current Registered Dietitian (RD) under CDR (Commission for Dietetic Registration Required
    Must have Current food handlers card at time of hire Upon Hire Required

    Responsibilities

    Job Summary
    This position evaluates nutrition risk criteria, assesses nutritional status and develops/implements plan of nutrition care, based on evidence based practice and diagnosis related care guidelines. The LEAD CLINICAL DIETITIAN is a highly proficient and competent clinician that helps lead the clinical nutrition team in both evidenced based practices, as well as day to day administrative functions.
    • Reviews integrated nutrition screening reports and accurately identify patients at nutritional risk. Completes nutritional assessment using established evidenced based, diagnosis related nutrition care guidelines.
    • Assists the Leadership of Nutrition Services by participating in the hiring process, providing feedback on work performance, scheduling and timekeeping as well as staff development programs for the department. Acts as an interdepartmental liaison to food services when needed.
    • Prepares written outcome oriented documentation for the patient’s medical record on all consultation in accordance with evidence based practice guidelines.
    • Evaluates patient outcome and progress toward achieving nutrition goals. Assesses nutrition education needs and provides individualized education to patients and families
    • Researches, develops and implements patient nutrition care protocols and educational materials, based on evidence based practice. Participates in performance integration and improvement of patient care processes and department or system process improvement initiatives.
