    Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field Required

    Job Summary
    Responsible for the strategy, direction and operations of all scheduling departments across HonorHealth. This cross-functional position works under the direction of the AVP of Perioperative Services, and in collaboration with operational leaders at facility level, and peers at corporate level, with operational oversight of central scheduling department/s. Role promotes and facilitates efficient and timely accommodation of procedures/surgeries while applying human and technological resources in a fiscally responsible manner while building strong relationships with customers, hereby contributing to all-over procedural and surgical volume growth. Network Director of Perioperative Scheduling and Business Operations is responsible for the direction of all business aspects of Perioperative Services and works in a cross-functional capacity under the direction of the AVP of Perioperative Services to grow surgical volume across the network and doing so in the most cost effective manner while promoting quality care.
    • Oversees integration of scheduling practices, proactively seeks opportunities for improving scheduling processes, and aligns resources to meet ongoing demands and promote surgical/procedural growth throughout the network. Collaborates with multiple procedural and perioperative department leaders on scheduling of procedures and surgeries while promoting an excellent customer experience. Visits practitioner offices as needed, monitors’ physician satisfaction and provides support for physician schedulers. Develops and maintains standardized Perioperative dashboard. Development and maintenance of standardized processes and methods of tracking and control of periop business operations with presentation of these reports to variety of leader-audiences across the network, including facility C-suites, Corporate Executive Leaders, and service line leaders. May lead, collaborate, develop, and maintain special network projects.
    • Develops network strategies to use business intelligence and electronic business rules to empower accurate decision making in scheduling office/s. Establishes methods to measure operational efficiencies and utilize resources appropriately to improve operations. Manages monitors and improves staff productivity and quality of service through various reports, reporting sources, reports, and process improvement. Effectively facilitates process changes in scheduling department/s in alignment with facility strategic growth efforts.
    • Oversee the staff and ensure adequate staffing levels, inclusive of hiring/onboarding, evaluating, managing performance, coaching and developing employees ensuring employee productivity, quality of work, and alignment of goals with our mission, vision, and values. Leadership development of scheduling department leaders. Ensure compliance with all policies, financial stewardship by being accountable for the financial integrity around development and maintenance of department budget. Addresses employee problems and administers appropriate disciplinary action.
    • Collaborates with Patient Financial Services and Registration Department Leader to facilitate a customer-centric and financially savvy scheduling approach. Provides outreach customer service and facilitate training to physician/surgeon scheduling offices and scheduling departments. Participates in continuing education activities to maintain expert-level knowledge and skills to serve as a surgery/procedures scheduling expert, and provides knowledge and input regarding scheduling to management on a consistent basis. Supports education and training for staff in the department and mentors new leadership.
