NUTRITION OUTREACH LEAD
DM Food Bank
The Nutrition Outreach Lead position will develop, implement and evaluate strategies within the Desert Mission service area to increase access to and availability of healthy food, including but not limited to food demonstration and gardening education, to prevent obesity and chronic disease. Other responsibilities include, program coordination and guidance to nutrition staff and volunteers to ensure high levels of compliance with network and federal grant guidelines. Responsible for reporting all pertinent information to Outreach Manager. Performs staff work as needed.
EDUCATION: Associate's Degree
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years' experience of working in a role utilizing knowledge of health education/promotion, diets, nutrition or related experience
-Food Handler's Card/ ServSafe Card
-Current Arizona Department of Health Services Fingerprint Clearance Card
-Must have a clean driving record as defined by Honor Health Network's Driver Qualification Policy
-Must: (1) be at least 21 years of age, (2) provide a current and valid Arizona driver's license; (3) provide a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) from the Department of Motor Vehicles for a 3 year period that has been approved in advance by an insurance carrier; (4) Provide current certificate of completion of the National Safety Council's Defensive Driving Course (DDC4) or successfully complete the next available, quarterly conducted, in-house training provided Honor Health Driver's Safety Course and (5) Commercial driver's license (CDL) is required if incumbent will be driving any vehicle that weighs more than 26,001 lbs and/or is capable of carrying 15 or more.
