    Associate's Degree or 2 years' work related experience Required

    Experience
    3 years of leadership experience in revenue cycle, accounting, business or finance. Required
    3 years of cash applications experience. Required

    Responsibilities

    Job Summary
    Provide leadership, oversight, guidance and overall management of the payment posting department, which includes developing and improving operational goals of department, staffing, training, development of staff, ensuring accurate and timely completion of cash posting, contractual adjustments, and variance reconciliation of both hospital and professional revenue departments.
    • Oversee personnel in all roles and day to day functions of the Cash Application department. Ensure deposits and correspondence are posted in timely manner. Balances all monies from ancillary departments, lockbox, EFT to EPIC and legacy systems. Prepare daily and monthly reports of cash/adjustments/refunds. Oversee reconciliation of Medical Group POS collections and bank window. Monitor daily cash to identify cash flow issues quickly. Monitor that scanning is completed and accurate to maintain departmental records. Ensure correspondence and zero batches are distributed or posted timely to AR teams.
    • Monitor clearing accounts to ensure money is identified and posted timely. Research all payments received that are not identified, payments not posted, payments paid in ancillary areas not received, and patient and insurance complaints. Resolve problems with follow-up, transfers to proper account or refunding. Maintain and learn working knowledge of current and future methods. Maximize the number of electronic 835 payers and ensure set up appropriately for electronic posting within EPIC HB/PB modules. Attend the in-service and departmental meetings to enhance communications, relation skills and improvement activities.
    • Monitor employees’ productivity and accuracy. Provide training and on-going education for all Cash App employees, perform annual reviews, performance coaching/counseling, Interview and hire as necessary. Prepare evaluation and present the evaluation. Monitor employee’s productivity, as well as, the quality of their work. Lead and implement process improvement initiatives, procedural changes and workflows.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
