    Associate's Degree or 2 years' work related experience Required

    Experience
    3 years security systems installation experience coupled with experience with access control systems and/or construction project planning for security systems. Required

    Responsibilities

    Job Summary
    Responsible for the implementation and upkeep of the Security Systems, which includes, but is not limited to, badging and access control, surveillance systems, infant abduction systems, panic alarms and intrusion alarms; and provides emergency on-call services after hours. The Security Systems Specialist leads physical security system design consisting of locking devices, access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms for all locations. Reviews construction blueprints and performs design take-offs of architectural plans for electronic security systems, technology infrastructures and low voltage systems. Assist in determining project scope, writing solicitation documentation, contacting electronic security vendors, and inspecting and verifying vendor deliverables against awarded contracts. Provides ongoing support and maintenance of security systems to ensure adherence to standards and continuous improvement. Assists Security Department in solving computer application problems. Troubleshoots security related computer system problems in order to repair and/or recommend corrective action. Communicates process and procedural changes to Security Department and external departments. Serves as a liaison between Security Services and Information Services. Trains users in various security systems and badging systems application and software features. In-services users in security related PC application and data management.
    • Assists in the evaluation, selection, and installation of electronic and physical security systems. Reviews construction blueprints, evaluates proposals and selects security system subcontractors, devices, equipment, parts and supplies. Oversees and coordinates work being performed by subcontractors and facilities engineers assigned to projects. Verifies subcontractor and vendor deliverables against awarded contracts to ensure adherence to standards and provides final approvals for project close-outs regarding electronic security according to regulatory and best practices. Tracks project/job expenditures to ensure to meet budget as well as coordinate project activities with stakeholders. Provides repair and maintenance of all security systems.
    • Provides technical support for the all security systems. Maintains and supports the relational database repository for Access Control including personnel records, access cards, and control devices. Maintains standards for personnel identification badge design and production. Maintains system security in compliance with standards established by HonorHealth to avoid network infiltration and/or system sabotage. Analyzes and solves application problems, i.e., incorrect security level assignments, improper door configurations and badging file errors. Trains users in the understanding
    • Reports all matters concerning electronic security safeguards to security leadership. Advises security leadership of vendor-related performance issues with appropriate documentation. Provides reports on preventive maintenance of electronic security assets. Designs and produces various SQL reports for the security leadership and other HonorHEalth departments such as entry logs, card tracking, entry counts, etc. Immediately reports physical (key) or electronic security breaches to security leadership to maintain high level of security for all mechanical devices, electronic equipment, and confidentiality of all proprietary information. Immediately reports all surveillance failures or issues. Provides regular status reports on projects and work orders.
    • Responsible for managing third party intrusion and duress alarms network wide. Duties include, but are not limited to; establishing a standard for the network, coordinating bids, installations and disconnects of alarm systems. Coordinates repair requests and code management requests. Creates, monitors, and maintains (add/change/delete) database of the various alarm locations, users and their confidential codes by location
