    Associate's Degree or 2 years' work related experience Required

    2 years in pre-hospital, hospital, or military medical experience in the past 5 years (Fire, EMS, ED, ICU, or Military) Required

    Job Summary
    Develops the trauma outreach program through marketing, external program education, community partners (police/fire), EMS/community hospital collaboration, and prevention activities. Collaborates with internal and external customers for educational opportunities and enhancing positive relationships. Acts as a liaison with community partners (police, fire, EMS), referring hospitals, military partnership, and local organizations. Supports a collaborative role for the pre-hospital providers, transport agencies, and referral hospitals, and military partnership. Designs, implements, and evaluates evidence based injury prevention programs, community outreach opportunities, and engages the community and other professionals to ensure American College of Surgeons (ACS) verified Level 1 Trauma program effectiveness.
    • Coordinates and provides inter-facility and regional professional staff development to include pre-hospital, community partners, and referring facility education. Develops and implements continuing education programs for police, fire, and EMS providers. Provides outreach training and tracks deliverables as needed for Trauma Services Outreach Program Plan in relation to ACS verification for Level 1 Trauma Centers.
    • Serves as liaison to referring physicians, hospitals and pre-hospital providers. Markets trauma center to stakeholders and collaborates and engages partners through regular communication site visits. Provides timely feedback letters/communication to pre-hospital quality care coordinators and referring facility designees. Supports program leadership in projects that promote the department, organization, HonorHealth Foundation, military partnership, and community partners. Maintains accurate records of all injury prevention and outreach activities. Remains knowledgeable on injury prevention legislation activity and evidence based safety initiatives. Models behaviors that reflect affiliations with professional organizations as well as the community
    • Develops and coordinates injury prevention programs utilizing local, regional, and national programs. Represents the trauma center on local and state committees related to injury prevention. Trains and orients interested staff to support injury prevention and trauma outreach programs. Participates in each campus monthly Trauma Operations Meeting.
    • Develops collaborative trauma outreach and training environment that supports excellence through planning and implementing programs that contribute to positive patient outcomes. Works closely with the Military Partnership staff to foster an environment of professional clinical instruction and educational excellence in simulations. Utilizes registry data to trend and monitor opportunities for injury prevention activities as well as to promote collaborative trauma research.
