    Job Summary
    The Lead Massage Therapist is a Licensed Massage Therapist that demonstrates exceptional customer services skills, expertise in the field of Massage Therapy, knowledge of Scottsdale Healthcare and Essential Touch Wellness Centers and has excellent written and verbal skills. This person should also demonstrate the ability to prioritize, organize and maintain confidentiality.

    The Lead Massage Therapist will serve as part of the staffing for the massage therapy services by performing body treatments and massage therapy. The staff member will be responsible for scheduling all massage therapists and maintaining par levels for professional product and supplies.

    The staff member must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the life span and demonstrate the skills necessary to provide direct and indirect care appropriate to the age of the clients.

    • Perform all body treatments and massage therapy services according to established standards and guidelines. Treatments and therapy services include evaluation of the client needs and expectations.
    • Conducts initial and ongoing training/education of all Licensed Massage Therapists at Essential Touch Wellness Centers. Provides quarterly updates on new information and review of practice. Identifies continuing education programs that would benefit the massage therapy service.
    • Schedules all Licensed Massage Therapists for all service sites. Scheduling is entered into the PHS system. Schedules must include complete coverage to meet the demands of client request trends and hours of operation and include appropriate meal break.
    • Collaborates with and makes recommendation to the Supervisor of Retail and Operations on product lines that are suitable for retail in the Boutique related to this service area. Meets with vendor representatives with the Supervisor.
    • Participate in the interview process with the Supervisor of Retail and Operations for new Licensed Massage Therapists (LMT). Evaluate training and expertise through interview questions, review of resume, and observation of massage techniques. Make recommendation to the Supervisor of Retail and Operations for position placement.
    • Provides input to the Supervisor of Retail and Operations on services/prices of services that are offered in the Essential Touch Wellness Centers.
    • Assists the Supervisor of Retail and Operations in completing 90-day and yearly evaluation of all Licensed Massage Therapists. Provides input for recognition and disciplinary process
    • Serves as part of the Management Team in the Essential Touch Wellness Centers and will communicate regularly with Licensed Massage Therapists and other Management Team members regarding changes, issues, and concerns. Serves as first-line resource for all Licensed Massage Therapists and the Management Team on issues related to massage therapy.
    • Orders and maintains back bar supplies in levels that are appropriate to provide services without supply interruption. Utilizes approved Scottsdale Healthcare vendors.
