    Bachelor's Degree or 4 years' related experience in computer science, information systems Required

    Experience
    3 years storage technology systems (NetApp Storage, IBM Storage, TSM Backup and Recovery, Brocade SAN). Must be familiar with Windows Server and/or Unix (Linux). Required

    Responsibilities

    Job Summary
    The Storage Administrator II primary duties are to design, test, modify, and document storage technologies, performs installation duties, regular maintenance, and support. The Storage Administrator I analyzes, basic troubleshooting and triaging of issues, performs corrective actions to resolve storage issues, creates and assigns LUNs and file shares; creates and configures fiber channel zone structures. In addition, the Storage Administrator II will serve as an escalation point for level I's, provide guidance, mentoring, training and participate in a support on-call rotation facilitating off-hour work functions in support of incidents, upgrades, patches, and project task fulfillment.

    • Designs, tests, modifies, and documents storage technologies. Monitors storage array performance and provides utilization projections.
      Monitors SAN and storage performance, provides utilization projections, backup system performance, and provides and reports usage, utilization projections, performance, and availability. Analyzes storage usage & manages the allocation based on the established storage tier standards.
      Maintains host and LUN definitions in both the SAN and storage arrays, defines the hosts in the backup system & establishes schedules. Allocates storage based on application needs using the appropriate protocols and tiers.
      Capacity planning, forecasts storage growth, consults vendors, plans and executes storage installation. Collaborates with programmers and database administrators to optimize storage.
      Restores and recovers data from the backup system as requested.
    • Uses communication skills to listen to, identify & address customer needs while building a relationship and rapport with customers. Builds positive working relationships with team members, managers & all departments.
      Prioritizes and responds promptly based on severity levels to needs of the customer. Proactively or timely recognizes opportunities for service recovery and acts to resolve issues.
    • Consistently lives out the commitment to the HonorHealth tenets of service excellence as illustrated in daily interactions with staff, faculty, physicians, patients, their families and others outside of HonorHealth: Customer Centered, Service Focused, Quality Driven, Resource Wise, and Growth Oriented.
